I lost my mum aged 54 to cancel and decided to do a charity cycle ride from John O'Groats to Lands End via Essex covering about 1,250 miles. My fitness level was below average.

I called RachelArmstrong for help who was excited about training me. The training programme Rachel put together in a book with lots of other information which was easy to follow.

During training I was monitored closely on progress and also for well being. I felt my progress was important to Rachel but also felt not at risk from over doing the exercises which can be dangerous. Rachel showed me various forms of training and diet programmes. Whilst training I found Rachel friendly, easy to understand and to follow her examples.

Rachel explained various conditions I may come across on my event and gave me lots of information about food and drink.

I completed the ride in 15 days - From the training I was physically and mentally prepared, I also was ready for the issues I encountered en-route just as Rachel explained.
